How to use it

Quick start

1. Pick a scenario in the left sidebar.
2. Drag furniture to rearrange. Click a piece, then R to rotate, Delete to remove.
3. Add pieces from the Furniture section — click a piece, then click the room to drop it. Esc to stop.
4. Set a price in the Revenue panel. Readouts update live.

Scenarios

Each scenario has its own saved layout and pricing. Switch freely.

First visit: the room's current furniture carries over; the scenario's people are added automatically.

+ New scenario (bottom of list): name it, set person counts, click Create.

Furniture

Click a catalog item → click the room to drop it. Keep clicking to place more. Esc to stop.

• Drag to move.
• R — rotate 90°.
• S — rest the item on the surface beneath it (e.g. a fridge onto the worktop). Press again to cycle through the surfaces it overlaps, or back down to the floor. Drag it off the surface to drop it back down.
• C — cycle a selected Gratnells' tray colour: mixed rainbow → blue → red → yellow → green → grey → mixed.
• Delete / Backspace — remove.

Stackable items (e.g. cardboard boxes) show a quantity cell in the sidebar — set the number before placing to drop a stack of that height.

+ Add new item (bottom of Furniture list): name, category, W / D / H in metres, price. Custom pieces render as a plain coloured box.

People

Six types — adult (grey), teen (yellow), child (orange), toddler (pink), wheelchair user (purple), staff (red). Drop from sidebar into room.

Staff don't count as paying visitors. Staff ratio: minimum 1 always; if children are present with no other adults, minimum is 1 per 6 children. Red warning when under-staffed.

Revenue

Each scenario has its own pricing. Add lines in the Revenue panel:

• Per person — × non-staff on the floor.
• Per family — × families count you enter.
• Flat fee — one-off amount.
• Items sold — × quantity you enter.
• 2-for-1 charity — same, reported separately.

Use Variants to save multiple price configs (e.g. weekday vs weekend) for the same scenario.

Readouts

Save & export

Your layout is kept automatically in this browser as you work, so it's still here when you come back.

• Download JSON — saves the whole project (every scenario's layout + pricing) to a JSON file on your computer. Works fully offline. Filenames are timestamped so same-day exports don't clash.
• Upload JSON — loads a project back from a JSON file, replacing what's on screen.
• Reset to default — reloads the shipped starting layout (discards local changes).

Use Download JSON to share a layout with someone or to hand it back for the record — send them the file and they open it with Upload JSON.
